MADRID
This morning, i went to Bro Jack and Sis Penny's house to help them in Rhema. To travel around in Madrid is quit convenient, their Metro had been well developed. They even put a TV screen in between two Metro lane. I accompanied Sis Penny to collect some package from the post office. We went to the meeting hall(Rhema's office is in the meeting hall), and packed the third series. We managed to finish 80 pack before 1:30pm. Then, we enjoy sandwich together(lunch). We share on the morning revival and pray for Bro Leeland on his interview. After that, we pursued a message of the the book, The Apostle's Teaching. We do cleaning. Dinner, we have chicken and vegetables soup. Bro Jack shared us a portion of the Bible, before we start to eat. It is John 4:34~38, " Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work. Do you not say that there are yet four months and then the harvest comes? Behold, I tell you, Lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are already white for harvest. He who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit unto eternal life, in order that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true, One sows and another reaps. I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labor." He says, we are entering into one another labor! Praise the Lord!
Bro Jack and Sis Penny's testimony, they are 68 and 64 years old now," We were brought into the church life on 1978. A brother in denomination who keep in touch with us rang us up one day, he says, You must come and see, i found something very marvelous. We dont understand what he said, so we went. In that meeting, Bro Lee is talking about the tablenacle, about rings, board and bars. Sis Penny dont understand at all, to her, What is this? But the way the saints sang the hymns impressed her a lot, she felt that they are singing with all their heart. And the hymns is scriptural, so, She was attracted. Later, they found out there is a meeting which held near their house. From then, they start to meet regularly, though she still have question and doubt in her. It was until 1 and a half year later, they are fully turned into the Lord's recovery. It is the vision of God's economy that had made them clear. Bro Jack has burden for Israel. Therefore, in 2002, they moved to Israel. For 5 years, they go in and out of Israel(they go as a tourist). One day, there is a bom exploded in the city where the saints is just at the corner. So the family who served in Rhema, the father and the son walked back home to check out whether the mother is safe or not. On the way, they saw the terrible situation of corpse, hands and legs which is detached from the body and etc. Thank the Lord, the mother is safe. Yet, the son feel that he cant live in this country anymore, he couldnt take it. So they sent him back to America. Later, their baby girl also have problem, have to put under oxygen mask for intensive care, after much consideration, they decided to go back to America. So, Bro Jack and Sis Penny take up Rhema.(Sis Penny says, we are here just to help, we are helping Rhema. Their attitude is very humble, I'm very touched)One time, when the couple stay in Israel for 6 months only go out(for Israel do not mentioned clearly that they can only stay for 3 months), they were rejected to get in Israel anymore, the officer says, you had spent too much time in Israel. They were very disappointed. Next morning, they received a call from Bro Richard, who mentioned to them that the saints who served Rhema in Spain had to go to Franch to translate the New Testament into France, can they take up the Rhema in Spain? Bro Jack ask Sis Penny how she feel, she said, No, No, I'm tire to move here and there anymore, I want to stay just in a place. They slept that night, the next morning, Sis Penny says, Oh, great! Jack, when will we go to Spain? Bro Jack, What happened to you? Then, we are here." They will know whether they will get the retired visa recently, please pray for them.
I was very touched by their sharing, especially the family who originally serve Rhema in Israel. They risk their life and the future of their children for the Lord. They paid such a high price. And also Bro Jack and Sis Penny, they are not young, and they have to travel(in and out of a country because of the visa) so often, definately their body is tired, yet they still move on to cooperate with the Lord. What about me? Saints, young man, what about you?
