MADRID
Spain is warm if compared to other european countries. i love the sun in Madrid. On Tuesday, when i reached Sis Hsiao-lu's house was almost 11pm. i asked the people taking the same flight as me how to get to her house, they suggested i should ask in the airport is there any direct bus from the airport to the house. At last, i got one. It cost only 2.35 euro and more it is direct. Just that, i couldnt find a public phone to call her when i was outside the apartment. I was anxious and cool and hungry. Praise the Lord! Here come a pizza man, who managed to get me into the apartment and lastly i saw Hsiao lu and Julio. They were waiting for me. In the whole journey(from London til Madrid), i really feel the Lord is opening the way for me, He arranged many things and person that work together for good for me. Thank the Lord. So, i spent two days at home to write blog and rest. Friday i go to the city area of Madrid, to see around and attend the home meeting at 7pm in Bro Jameson Chen's house. The first building, is the Bank of Spain. i like their architecture very much. These are the food displayed in the bar. Here, it is very common for them to take their meal in a bar. Nice to see, nice to smell, but it is only in the photo, haha. I take a metro(something like LRT, but go underground) to their market- La Cebada. very interesting. Can you see the small little pig?? This is definitely forbidden in Malaysia. A lady with blue hair and her tea shop. I like the way they sell tea. They were all placed in a tin and the name and price were labeled on it. very neat. Then i walked all the way to Catedral de la Almudena. It is vey dark and i try to take the photo but failed. so i took without flashlight and it become like that(remember?? i do complaint about my camera). What i'm trying to show is the real situation you have in a cathedral. it remind me of the Chinese's Temple. a statue after another where place in various position, you can climb up the staircase to put a candle in front of any one statue that you admired. Therefore brother says religions are all the same(because they are under same boss mah). In europe, it is very common to see people playing music or giving show everywhere, in Chinese, we called 街頭賣藝. This is one of their famous food - legs of ham and cheeses! the types of cheese and the types of sausage, ham they have is really a lot, i really dont know which one should i try(so i didnt buy any of them). They decorate the window display in a very attractive way. look at all those little tiny dolls. This is my self made pasta. Look delicious? Dont worry, i will help you finished all. Almost everywhere you can see this bus, it is open roof, guided tour throughout the city. i never get on anyone of it. A Bear and the strawberry tree, this is the symbol of Madrid. Rolex. Metropolis, i try to ask around what is it, no one seems to know. but i can feel that as if the statue on the top is flying. i want to visit their national library but they say they do not accept visitors. But i managed to visit a museum under the library. they displayed a uniform which the librarian must ware when they are on duty last time. Very proper. Puerta de Alcala. Their central post office at Plaza de la Cibeles. People walking around city center. A special bike. See, there are people who enjoy their sandwich sitting on the grass in front of a busy traffic road. This is their life. But, do they know God? The One who create the grass and sun? Who will tell them?
Tulip, various colour-white, red, purple, orange, yellow, pink and etc. very beautiful. i visited a very special museum - museo del Traje. it displayed different kinds of dresses and cloths Spanish ware from 1700 to 2005. Very interesting, it indicate the changes in this country. On the way to Bro Jemeson's house, i saw a campus on my right. These are the campus students, i saw fish! This is really a big fish pond, fish is everywhere, will they give themself to the Lord or Satan? Who will help them to make their choice?
Praise the Lord! This is the Recovery Version of the NT with footnotes and Hymnal. We pursue on Phil. 3:1~11. I enjoy the sharing among the saints very much. It is not like a meeting, it is just like we are chatting. we share and the saints are very supportive. One of the student is coming from China, she is new, this is the third time she joined us, she ask question and saints answered, it is indeed a sweet fellowship. Amen, may the Lord continue to strengthen the campus work that more and more young people can be gained by Him! from left, Sis Yohanna, Rebecca, Susanne Hsu, Esther Bang, Julio, An Wu, Rafael, Leonardo, Hsiao lu, Marion and Bro. Bro Jameson and Sis Marion's testimony,
"In one of the brothers' meeting, Bro Benson Phillip says, you see this brother(refer to Bro Jameson), he knows English, Chinese and Spanish, why is he still here?(should had go out for the Lord). So, we start to consider it seriously before the Lord, and the brothers say what about Spain? so, we came. In May 2008." They are now take care of the campus work in Madrid, and they are perfecting the local saints to do what they do. May the Lord bless them with abundant grace.
Sis Rebecca testimony,
"I am in the church life since 1984. I'm a nurse. One day i managed to get some holiday, so i joint the middle age training for two weeks. During interview, the brother find out that my children are all grown up, he said, you are free to serve. In 2007, i went to Russia for GMR, i received burden from there. I have a burden to go for His move on earth. So, i joint Immigration Training. In one of the meeting, saints were praying, at one point, someone pray about Spain. And the burden seems to go that way, everybody start to pray for Spain. I said in my heart, Spain? No, i dont want to go Spain. No Spain. But, i felt the Lord speaking to me and the brothers also asked me, how about Spain. So, i went to Bower House and go through training for 5 months, then come to Spain on July, 2008." She does not have visa that enable her to stay in Spain for long period of time, at the moment, she can only be here 3 months, every 3 months she has to go in and out. She plan to apply for a student visa when she go back to US so that she can stay in Spain for a longer period. Please pray for this.
